All of this is the exact reason that I have been continuing to "triple" boot my macbook pro. First I have the standard OS X install, second I have a copy of windows 7 that has been booted a grand total of one time, and third I have an Wubi install that allows Ubuntu to live in the EFI's pretend BIOS land none the wiser. It's ugly, but at least it works 100% of the time with limited effort on my part. However, I have always longed to get rid of this stupid windows partition and instead run only OS X and Fedora side-by-side without having to resort to all sorts of terrifying EFI black magic or the increasingly divergent Ubuntu. Thank you for putting in the work to make this all so much easier!
