Well, as for me, FORCING me to trust to MS is a very BAD idea for my own security. If I'm forced to trust to those who pretends to be my guards, I'm definitely could consider myself JAILED. And mumbling about security does not excuses this fact. So yes, "secure" boot is about securely locking out customers out of their hardvare in favor of MS.
