I'm aware this is an old post, so please direct me to any newer information if this doesn't apply anymore, but, when I go to sysdev.microsoft.com to get an account they send you to Verisign to get an "EV" certificate, which costs $795/year. Can you give a walk through on how I can compile my own shim and grub2 and get them signed for $99?
