WTF?

Each Fedora user must pay $99 via MSFT's sysdev portal for the privilege (I guess it's no longer a right) of running linux on UEFI hardware? I have to identify myself to MSFT as a linux user and get a MSFT account to obtain a key? What does MSFT do with their list of linux users? Sue them ala SCO? What does Verisign do with the $99 after they get it? Secret kickbacks to MSFT?

UEFI == failed technology.
