No, he responded by citing statistics that claim that rape victims are liars or that it wasn't really rape. Sure, if you assume that rape victims are liars or that certain types of rape aren't really rape you'll come up with different numbers. But believing in statistics that are based on those assumptions means that you believe rape victims are liars and that some rapes aren't really rape.
