Mainstream Linux distributions are incredibly unlikely to go to the trouble of QAing an entire additional install image just to support 32-bit UEFI systems, and right now they're also unlikely to remove support for older systems, so by choosing to ship 32-bit UEFI you're reducing the number of OSes that your platform will run.
