Your BIOS was typically chipset vendor reference code (so either Intel or AMD), BIOS vendor code (AMI, Phoenix, Insyde, HP and sometimes Toshiba) plus board vendor code. UEFI is the same, except the BIOS vendor code is all based on the Intel reference UEFI implementation.
