An echo chamber isn't a bad thing when it's supportive, rather than being a group that amplifies the dominant culture's toxic views. Since I have to deal with people just like the ones leaving anonymous comments in this post (they're more subtle when interacting in person) every single day, I don't feel I'm missing out on anything when I go to a private space that's limited to people who support intersectional feminism. I'm in no danger of not hearing the opinions of patriarchy-supporting rape apologists.
