Touchpad vs. linux

I can't configure my macbook like touchpad (touchpad is one big button) for middle-click navigation (used by many CAD application).

I configured 3 fingers click for middle click, but moving while clicked does nothing.

Spent a week on the issue, looked at synaptics driver code.
I think it can't be done, it is just DESIGNED TO BE BROKEN.
