Sorry, nevermind. Didn't read the news on the HDD attack. The news mention that the GrayFish attack only corrupts the MBR. This is probably outdated information but what about GPT tables? Also, what about the small non-volatile memory UEFI has which can be used to store a crash dump? Can arbitrary code be ran from there early in the boot process?
