Last real research on ME by ITL was in 2009 where PC x86 architecture was based on 3 chips: CPU, MCH and ICH. Since then this evolved to 2 chips only: CPU + PCH.

Anyway i still did not see any real research demonstrating that ME can bypass IOMMU protection on this 2 chips CPU/PCH architecture. Only speculation and conspiracy theories.
