Intel could do better from a technical point, but one buys a Lenovo product, it is their responsibility to have the right pieces of hardware into place. So they should be blamed for choosing an hardware with windows-only drivers. They could also have added an option in the BIOS/UEFI that, once the secure boot has been disabled, allows the user to also disable this RAID mode.
