In my work, I build web apps with Django and we use lots of open libraries.
I make a point to contribute fixes back those libraries as I go (in effect, a small part of the project budget goes to open source, in the form of my time they pay for).
The only effect this would have is that I wouldn't use those libraries that have the commons clause as it would be too risky.
