These are good news. What worries me is that Microsoft seems to have power to impose Pluton upon AMD and ARM and probably Intel? Or they willingly cooperate like back in TCPA and TCG? Dell, Lenovo and others manufacturers turn off Pluton right away. Do the manufacturers value the trust of customers higher? What I need as user is defined behavior and reliable hardware encryption.
I've the feeling we're still strive to mitigate all issues by hacking instead of counteracting on political level. The later is one thing the FSF did.
