Reading the comments here gives one suggestion: Post the actual emails that make people uneasy. It seems that requires more exposure. And I suspect more people would agree that those are not a correct or excusable behavior.
But other than that: No idea. But I suppose if there was a simple way to get people to care, we wouldn't be talking about this today. Nor would there be patents, closed source software, hunger or wars.
