Why would you require a CAPTCHA just to view a blog? Are you really worried about a few thousand extra page-views from bots? I understand protecting comments, but locking viewing of your blog behind a wall is just silly. It's really annoying for people using non-mainstream browsers, and generally hurts Internet interoperability.
