The bad news is that it's typically very hard to find, wrongly named, not documented at all, and none of the hotline or sales clerks know about it and will happily and strongly claim that it's not possible, although it is.
On my Samsung, the option is called "Only scan" (Asian->English translation for "No overscan") and only exists on the remote control, not in the video settings menu.
