Turns out that linking to several days old public data in order to demonstrate that Elon's jet was broadcasting its tail number in the clear is apparently "posting private information" so for anyone looking for me there I'm actually here

Noted, and added.

Annoying and dangerous that His Sinkness doesn't want it believed that public info is public info.

Nice! Any suggestions for a Nitter-like alternative interface for Mastodon hosts?

I think that would be beside the point, because Mastodon has zero trackers to block in the first place. It's open source software operated by hobbyist nerds

One point in favor: Mastodon 4.0 (and Pleroma, and probably some other ActivityPub servers) render their web view using JS, which is irritating to people who use NoScript. Having something like Nitter fetch and render would be neat.

(Really, Mastodon should just return to server-side rendering, though... or people should use native apps and get a browser extension that redirects links into the app.)

mastodon does RSS

It's not nitter, but Mastodon instances generally provide user timeline as an RSS feed, just point a reader at https://instance.tld/@user.rss
